Thailand faced one of the most severe natural calamities this year, a massive flood that affected over 12.8 million people. Even today, people of Thailand are struggling to get their lives back to normal. According to World Bank, estimated damages has exceeded $45 billion. It has been second most devastating disaster of 2011.
To provide much needed relief to flood victims, an advertising agency (BBDO) teamed up with Thai Red Cross to launch a charity project called: FFF (Fonts Fight Floods) project.
The fonts have been created quite artistically, with each alphabet narrating a story or a situation during the floods in Thailand. Anyone can download these fonts, and if you are in to typography, then you would definitely like to keep 'em.
"Thais have seen what they never witness before...consumer product prices soar heartlessly. Inventions like portable toilets made out of chairs, express way's flyover became parking lots, crocodiles escaping to housing projects, soldiers holding shovels instead of guns digging for sand to help the people." shares their website, further adding, "FFF project designed Font Fights Flood to let you download for usage; just by donating through Thai Red Cross Society and you'll be a part of helping Thailand back on dry ground."
