Blogging may seem to be an obsolete concept to some people, but one cannot deny the fact that it is still one of the most effective channels of online communication. Some may rightfully argue that social sites like Twitter or Facebook have played a major role in making blogging look like an old school concept.

But tell me honestly, how many of you can say that you don't have a favorite blog that you dutifully follow?

Even these social sites, eventually lead you to strongly opinionated articles by bloggers who are just like you and me, sitting in front of their computer, trying to pose their views on something that they are passionate about.

And this makes me think about those who are skeptical about starting their own blog because of their inhibitions towards writing.

As a blogger I strongly believe that every one cannot write, but anyone can blog. Blogging is not about writing anymore, it's about being creative, it's about coming up with ideas that connect with people, respecting your audience and most importantly, it's about honest dedication towards your blog.

And if you think that you can do all this, then forget about being a good writer. Don't get me wrong, I am not advocating bad writing skills here. Those who can't write can always come up with different blogging ideas; take photography blogs for example. Photographers may not be exceptional writers, but their blogs are nothing less than a trip to a museum of creativity.

So here are my top ideas for those who can't write but have always wanted to blog:

Video Blogging:

You can always share your skills or ideas through videos, one of the most compelling modes of communication in the online world. You can create funny videos, tutorials, music videos, cookery lessons or just about anything, as long as it is original and worth sharing with the world.

Food Blogs:

Words may not be able to get your creative juices flowing, but I know a lot of talented cooks (mostly home cooks) who can create wonders in the kitchen. So, if you are one of those who always ends up in the kitchen during family gatherings or festivals, then you should give food blogging a serious thought. You don't have to write much, click a lot of pictures, share your secret ingredients and tips, give instructions in simple language and of course, create a dish worth appreciating.

I also believe that Photoshop is a great tool to let your creativity and imagination out, so if you are Photoshop pro, then blogging is for you as well my friend.
