Elisa Strozyk, a young designer from Germany with a creative vision has come up with quite an intriguing concept where she transforms blocks of wood into bedsheets, table cloths and rugs. She also creates regular wooden stuff like cabinets, lamps and furniture objects. But I somehow I can't get over her wooden textile.

After experimenting with different types of wood she finally found her answer in wood veneer, that she breaks into pieces, then attaches them to the textile's base.

"Wooden Textiles is a material that is half wood-half textile, between hard and soft, challenging what can be expected from a material or category. It looks and smells familiar but feels strange, as it is able to move and form in unexpected ways." she explains. Here are some examples:
