We have come across many small business owners who wish to indulge in professional social networking activities, but thanks to endless options and strategies available, it can get a little intimidating at times.

Not everyone who runs a business online or plans to in the future is well versed with technology and intricacies involved. Even though there are many companies that provide professional assistance in this area, but I believe that every business owner must be well aware and actively participate in their business's marketing strategies and activities; online and offline both.

You may be using sites like Facebook, Twitter or YouTube for personal use and consider yourself to be a pro in such social networking sites, but when it comes to using these same sites for your business, its a different ball game all together.

Social Media Quickstarter can turn out to be a perfect site for you to learn social media marketing...specially if you are just getting started at it.

"For some small organizations, social media marketing is an easy extension of what they're already doing. For others, getting started is a huge leap of faith. We've designed the Social Media Quickstarter to help you surpass your goals, regardless of your starting point and experience level." describes the website.

All the tutorials that they provide are in simple language incorporated with a video and divided in to various chapters with step by step instructions...and did I mention that all of this is free of cost? You can also download a PDF file of these tutorials. All you need to do is either sign up with them, or log-in using your Facebook account.

Here's an interesting video explaining what Social Media Quickstarter is all about:

They have covered a wide range of topics and areas like:

Facebook
Twitter
LinkedIn
Blogging
YouTube
Ratings & Reviews
Location Based Services
QR Codes

Each of these topics consist of an average of 10 chapters. What I like the most about these tutorials is that they have started right from the basics, and covered topics or queries that we might hesitate asking someone with the fear of sounding too ignorant.

Here's a video introducing Twitter to those who are yet to experience the addiction (and advantages) of this micro-blogging site:

Social Media Quickstart is a new project by Constant Contact that provides Engagement Marketing tools to several organizations, helping them create and grow customer relationships.

This is just the beginning and SMQ plans to include much more to their site, in the meanwhile we will try to get in touch with the team and hopefully get an interview with them. :)
