I came across a heart-breaking statistic highlighted by World Food Program (WFP): "1 child dies every 6 seconds from hunger." On World's Population Day, WFP launched a campaign to bring billions of online users together with billions of hungry people all over the world.
Other than spreading awareness about shocking number of empty stomach children around us, they are also highlighting endless unproductive hours we spend tweeting, updating our status and watching mindless freaks doing some bad-ass tricks on YouTube. While there are far more serious issues in the real world. Within just 60 seconds that we spend while watching a video on YouTube, more than 145 million emails are sent, more than 2.5 million YouTube videos are watched, more than $43,681 are spent on eBay, 83,273 people log on to Facebook, 2,083 tweets are sent, and 10 children die from hunger.
