We contacted Dino for an interview with us to learn more about his blog and his blogging journey. Catch it below and get inspired:

Dino, please introduce yourself to E-junkies.

I'm the Founder of Triberr. Lousy Mixed Martial Artist and a recovering Network Engineer. Pretty good singer/songwriter, trainer of dogs, and a blogger of biz. Fun at parties and a global force for badassery.

Firstly, let's talk about your killer blog 'DIYBlogger'.

I used to publish a lot of Social Media and blogging related posts on my dog blog dogandogs.com. But it got kinda embarrassing to send my clients to my dog blog for Social Media information, so I started DIYBlogger.net.

How did you plan to starting a blog? We would love to know about the inception of 'DIYBlogger'.

There was no master plan. I figured I had something different to say and contribute in the SM space, and so DIYB was born :-)

When you entered this blogging world, did you ever think it would become as famous as it has become now?

I did. I've been working with Internet related technologies for over 10 years. I've seen the progression and the proliferation of these technologies into every facet of out lives and it's only going to get worse :-)

What do you think is the best way to establish a loyal set of readers to one's blog?

Put YOURSELF out there. Be a good person. Be responsive. Be original. Be a misfit. If everyone goes left, you go right.

What are your views on Social Media as a promotional tool? Do you think it is being hyped?

It's an amazing promotional tool. The problem is that companies don't know how to be social. And I don't see that obstacle as surmountable. No one told me to be social online, I just am. No one told my Triberr partner Dan Cristo to be social. He just is.

What are the soft or indirect benefits of blogging? How has it helped you grow personally as well as professionally?

The relationships you form online are amazing and have real and tangible benefits. I met Dan when he commented on one of my posts. We did few SEO podcasts together and then we formed Triberr.

You have published your own E-books. How different it is to publish an E-book from publishing a blog?

It's not that different. Both of my ebooks started their life as blog posts. Obviously the formatting will be slightly different and you will need a cool design, but those are small issues which are easily overcome.

Would you like to share you future goals/plans with us?

My life has been Triberr for the last few months. It's a very promising up-start, and I don't see myself ding anything else for a while.

What are the other things that interests you?

I love dogs. I've been working with dogs my whole life. I'm a musician. I play guitar and sing. I'm an avid motorcyclist. And I love learning.

Many other aspiring bloggers would draw inspiration from you. What message do you have for them?

Shut up and listen. You have two ears and one mouth for a reason. So stop talking so much. Give others a chance to voice themselves. You might learn something. Read a book. Wear a deodorant :-)

Dino, thanks for sparing time to talk to us. It was a great experience learning about you. Good luck for your future endeavors.
