A jellyfish is nothing but an alluring beast, and finding these beasts in shape of beautifully illuminated lamps is perfect for someone looking for an aquatic ambiance in the house.

This collection is called 'Medusae Pendant Collection' designed by Roxy Russell who gained inspiration for these lamps from the ocean of course.

What's interesting is that not only does she admire the boundless beauty and mysteries of the ocean, but also the sad state of the eco-system because of all the plastic we keep dumping in there.

"I wanted to bring to the surface, and illuminate the growing problem of plastic polluting our oceans in a way that makes people inspired to help." she says in an interview.

We've shared some of the most bizarre lamps made from intriguing materials with you; chandeliers made from bicycle chains, drinking straws and eggs shells to name a few.

New-York based product designer Kevin Champeny has created another such unique lamp created from 3,000 hand-casted. high-gloss acrylic gummy bears. Of course, a lamp made from edible gummy bears won't last very long, so Champeny decided to make few acrylic ones. The lamp comes in two sizes, there's a larger version of Gummilight made from 5,000 gummy bears. Here are few images:

A while back when I'd worked on a post where we'd featured some of the most beautiful and uniquely recycled lamps, I was under the impression that I'd have enough of creativity as far as lamps are concerned. After that I've been proved wrong twice...not that I am complaining. Creativity, as it turns out, is my second favorite word after imagination.

And today I would like to share a lamp design that combines both imagination and creativity.

'Page by Page' designed by Connect Design is a poster by the day and a quirky lamp by the night.

It uses a 5 volts LED lamp and the best part is that it can connect to a laptop or PC through a USB port. What I liked the most about this lamp is that you can never get bored of it, because you can always change the background as per your liking or mood. All you have to do is turn the page! And if nothing pleases you, you can simply draw your own background on an empty page.

When it comes to lamps, there is a lot of room for creativity. There is so much that one can do and so many ideas that one can successfully implement. Lamps created out of recycled material is one of my favorites, but stumbling upon these lamp designs by Giles Godwin-Brown has brought in a whole new perspective towards lamp designs for me.

These lamps are more like a silhouette on your wall that also lights up. These lamps are created out of plywood, stainless steel and aluminium for detailing with LED lighting. These lamps are entirely handmade.

Here's what Godwin-Brown has to say about the inspiration behind these lamps:

At E-junkie.info we have always appreciated creative recycling and today we would like to share these imaginatively recycled lamps by Lamp Revival. "Brilliant lighting for a shadowy world" is how they like to describe their products.

You will find lamps created from a variety of materials like a surveyor tripod, French horn, electric boxes, pipe fittings, light switches and even cages. I love the vintage vibe that these lamps give. And the best part is that you will not find two lamps similar to each other, each product created by Lamp Revival has its own identity. Here are some of my favorites:

Few weeks back we'd posted 18 beautiful examples of uniquely recycled lamps and chandeliers, but little did we know that there are many more creative lamps yet to be discovered.

Handelier, is a fascinating light fixture designed by a Los Angeles based design studio: Voila! Although they have many more creative and inspiring designs on their website, but according to me Handelier is by far their most creative design.

It is made from perforated vintage aluminium glove molds with Edison light bulbs inside. Other than this chandelier, they have also created a standing light fixture and a sconce around the same concept.

fLume Lamps is a collection created by a Brooklyn based architectural design company: Et Al. Collaborative who found inspiration in discarded Christmas trees and also from trees that have fallen during a storm or left outs from landscape projects.

Who would've thought that a simple piece of log would look so stylish in any living space. All they have to do is get rid of branches and pine needles, and let the tree's original shape do rest of the design work. It depends on the natural shape, whether to hang it on the wall or strategically place it on a table.
