Deal of the Day systems like Groupon are a great way for a business to get their name out there and get new customers. If you are using e-junkie, you can set-up our discount feature to work with Groupon and other Deal of the Day sites. We’ll walk you through the process step-by-step.

Start by clicking on the Add/Edit E-junkie Cart Discounts/Gift Coupons...

In the Product drop down menu you want to have it set to All Cart Items, it should be by default as you can see above.
Give the discount a name you will recognize (your buyers will not see it), in this case I’m using Groupon10for20, to represent a $10 Groupon to get $20 off.

In the discount code field you will want to enter in a list of random codes to be used by the people who participate in the deal of the day.
If you do not want to create them you can use a site like this.
The max number of discounts(total codes) you can have is 10,000.
Our discount feature is not case sensitive, so awg85g is the same as AWG85G.

Set the Max. Use Count to 1 and set your Discount, in this case I’m setting it to $20.00.

After that click Submit to save the new discount.

If you want you can also set an expiration date, or a Min. Item quantity or Total if your deal of the day needs them.

You should also keep in mind that we do have a limit on the number of free checkouts (checkouts where the buyer’s total is zero) that each account has per day.  So if you are planning a deal of the day that lowers the price to zero, you will want to make sure you can handle the free checkouts in your E-junkie account.

Is there anything you are wondering how to do in E-junkie, send our support staff an e-mail here.
