So it's official now that Twitter has acquired the 'We Are Hunted', a music discovery service.

What's next on the list for Twitter?

If the rumors are to be believed, after this acquisition, Twitter is working on an app to-be-called Twitter Music, which would help users to find popular music based on recommendations across their Twitter network.

Well, there's no fixed date for the launch of this app but as per what we have heard this app will be launched this weekend at the music festival Coachella. Till now, Twitter hasn't realeased any official statement in this regard.

This app suggests different artists and tracks to the user based on the different Twitter accounts that the user follows and that the other people he is following follow. Users will be able to listen to their favorite music through this app, using third-party services like iTunes and SoundCloud.

It was after Ryan Seacrest, the American Idol host tweet, yesterday about this app that whole rumor mill was set ablaze. Here's a screenshot of his tweet:

One thing, that everyone around is guessing is that Twitter gave Ryan Seacrest access to its yet-to-be launched music app. Lucky, he but why?

For us, we still don't know the exact features of this app. All that we can do is wait for the launch of this app and use it.
