Technology moves so swiftly that something that we can't do without today, might not even exist tomorrow.  CDs for example, there was a time when CDs seemed to be the perfect solution for any kind of data storage, but that's history; just like Floppy disks are ancient history.

But for Nick Gentry, a British artist, these very obsolete objects are a source of inspiration. He likes to create amazing pieces of art using outdated materials such as VCRs, cassettes and floppy disks. He believes that through his art form, "contributor, artist and viewer come closer together".

According to his website, "His art is influenced by the development of consumerism, technology, identity and cyberculture in society, with a distinctive focus on obsolete media." Check out his amazing artwork below:
