When it comes to creating poetry, Austin Kleon has a style like no other. His poetry requires a permanent marker, and the New York Times.

Newspaper poetry is a project where Kleon picks up newspaper articles and redacts words from it. He simply eliminates the words that he doesn't need using a black marker and in the process creates a poetry in the most unique way.

Ironically, he drew inspiration for this project when he was going through writer's block. He turned to a stack of newspapers and thought, "I might not have any words, but right there next to me are millions of them." His project received a lot of (and much deserved) appreciation, he eventually turned his poetry into a book called "Newspaper Blackout". He has recently published another book called, "Steal Like An Artist". Although we've featured Kleon's work on our blog before, and have also interviewed him; but when I came across his Horoscope series, I just couldn't resist sharing it with you.
