What sort of person do you come across as when you write or video for your blog?
Funny?
Dry?
Professional?
Mental?
Whatever it is, your persona forms the basis of your online persona and represents you and your business for your customers.
Readers respond to certain personalities more than others – think of the appeal and charisma of some comedians on TV and you’ll see what I mean – certain people are instantly likeable, regardless of who they are, what they look like, and what they do.
They have the power to make people listen to them, make friends easily, and develop relationships offline so easily you’d be forgiven for feeling a bit jealous of them.
Other people don’t always have this fantastic ability.
Even the most interesting, funny or smart people can come across as being a bit dull if they have a habit of hiding their light beneath shyness or a bad mood.
The good news is, blogging gives us the ideal opportunity to show our personalities, as the online environment supports us to showcase our humor, demonstrate what interests us, and write passionately about our industry in a way that can bring more readers to our sites by increasing traffic online.
All that said, how do we show ourselves in the best possible way online?
It’s one thing to set out to write brilliant articles, being warm and engaging and encouraging people to comment and develop great internet relationships. It’s quite another to be faced with a blank page on your computer and try and decide what words to pop down to best show you and your products to your audience.
The first thing to remember when you set out to write a post that your readers will respond to, is that it’s absolutely fine to draw upon your personal experiences to make your blog article more interesting, give a stronger message or use analogies from your own life to illustrate your stories.
Share your personal experiences
For example, if you pop to the shops and have a great experience, then come home and write about it, using it as an example for how we can develop fantastic customer service.
Similarly, if you hear stories or anecdotes that you can use from your real life conversations, pull them in to your blog articles.
Why people read blogs…
People read blogs for a number of reasons, but one of the main ones is that it gives us an insight in to the daily lives of those people who we do business with.
By drawing upon your personal experiences in each post you write, your audience will get to know you, learn more about how you operate in a business sense, but – best of all – they will be able to see who you are, respond to that, and open up new paths for developing long-lasting and great business partnerships and relationships.

I often asked myself whether to be professional or simple? Sometime we find it hard to be professional all the time. For me, I usually combined both in my post because we are human and therefore, we need fun, creativity and more... not only look professional.
I think you can still have fun, be creative and still be professional. That's waht can make a great blog!
