Intel will have a tough year in 2012 which is shaping up to become a real tough difficult year for Intel than expected. It’s known that Intel has been traditionally benefiting from Microsoft operating system upgrade cycles. It takes no rocket science to understand why more and more consumers are awaiting the final arrival of Windows 8.

It’s not surprising that Intel is more upbeat than Jaffray. The same chipmaker has been showing off tablets running windows 8 at the most talked about CES. Also, CEO Paul Otellini has been delivering comments on how windows 8 will prove to be a boon for his company. It has just been 2 years since the release of highly successful windows 7; Microsoft has announced the next big thing it has in its kitty!
Unveiling of Windows 8 is a big thing but Intel not expected to have a good year is what makes news in the first place. Windows 8 is expected to make a possible dent in iPad’s dominance in the tablet market. Although, all this and more remains to be seen it can well be admitted that it’s going to be interesting for the consumers!
