Pat Vaillancourt for example, holds a world record for having maximum URLs tattooed on his body. And he has no intention of stopping yet, his mission is to have 100,000 URLs inked on him.
So why the hell is he doing this?
Good question! Firstly, who wouldn't like to have their name in the Guinness Book of World Record? Secondly, Pat is not a sportsperson, neither does he have weird ass habits of eating glass, swallowing a sword or burping like a dinosaur. So, he decides to use his body for an idea that will not only make him a famous man, but also help people. Because you see, half the money that he raises through 'inktisements' will be donated towards Haiti and Somalia.
"Those who know me will agree that I’m a spontaneous guy, a man of real conviction and passion who’s not afraid of getting involved in unconventional projects. I want to break a world record and become the man with “the most Websites tattooed on his body.” But more importantly, I want to help others." shares Vaillancourt.
He says, that he drew inspiration for this idea from Alex Tew, the man behind milliondollarhomepage.com.
In order to get a tattoo on his body, all you need to do is pay him $35 through PayPal, fill out a form and that's about it. Pretty soon your web address will be embedded on his skin. Obviously, it's not that these hyperlinks will be easily visible, so you can throw in $500 for a logo+tattoo. But then again...who will see it?
He does have a website (backtothelight.com) where he'll share all those companies who are a part of his bizarre mission, and considering the popularity of his Facebook page (with around 150,000 likes) one can't ignore that fact that this guy is getting famous.
By the way, he is open to Facebook and Twitter URLs as well!
According to Vaillancourt, 16,000 companies have already approached him to reserve a spot on his body and the numbers are increasing. There is another twist in his plan, the first 50,000 tattoos will be in black ink, and once he crosses midway, the other half will be tattooed in fluorescent ink. Why? So that it makes him 'noticeable in nightclubs'.
The tattoo guy, who actually does all the work is a friend of Pat's and spends about one and a half hour to complete 100 URLs; which means that for 100,000 he will have to dedicate 10,000 to 20,000 working hours.
Eventually, Pat Vaillancourt will be covered with tattoos from head to toe, so in case you are planning to be a part of this bizarre mission, you better hurry. 'Coz I am sure you don't wanna make any below the belt impressions. ;)
