Inkling is a very clever and innovative product by Wacom who have come up with a solution that brings freehand drawing on paper and digital tools like photoshop together. A pen that lets you draw on your sketchbook (or even a piece of paper) and instantly lets you transfer that sketch to your computer.

All you need to do is attach the receiver to the paper that you intend to draw on, use Inkling Digital Pen for drawing and then using Sketch Manager software, you can transfer your work to your computer and refine it in any way you wish.

"Designed for rough concepting and creative brainstorming, Inkling is ideal for the front end of the creative process." says Wacom.

Inkling also lets you capture your sketch stroke by stroke allowing you to create layers in to your digital file, thereby giving your creativity more room to try out new ideas from your sketch on paper. And these files can be saved in following formats: JPG, BMP, TIFF, PNG, SVG and PDF.

"Export your sketches with layers directly from the Inkling Sketch Manager software into Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator (CS3+), Autodesk Sketchbook Pro (2011+) or Autodesk Sketchbook Designer." shares their Wacom's website.

This ingenious pen costs $199.00 and will be available mid-September. Visit the website for more information and do check out this video below to learn more about this innovative idea:
