I believe that the world is divided in to two kinds of people: dog lovers and cat lovers. Each side has its own reasons, but me being a dog person can't stop myself from appreciating creative business ideas by dog lovers and for dog lovers.
Although there are many small businesses and even non-profit organizations for dogs, but all of them do not fall in the 'creative' category. So today we share some creative and some unusual businesses about a man's best friend.

RUFF BOWL
Sammy, a video editor for NASCAR and Nicole, a dental hygienist are two dog lovers who realized that there's something missing in current pet products and hence decided to launch an innovative product called Ruff Bowl - a portable water dish and poop-bad carrier.
"Ruff Bowl was born out of necessity and it is the product of two dog lovers." they say.
Ruff Bowl is a plastic travel bowl that can be attached to a leash and used in two ways: as a poop-bag holder when it is clipped on to the leash and as a water bowl when detached from the leash.

DOODY CALLS
'Doody Calls' boosts about being the 'first pet waste removal franchise in the world'. It is a professional service for cleaning what your dog excretes; because "you love almost everything about your pet".
"Doody is our duty, and we take our job very seriously" they say.
Jacob D'Aniello is the co-founder of this company who drew inspiration for his business idea from an interview that he heard on the radio of a guy who was a free lancer in dog poop-cleaning business. He teamed up with his wife Susan (who initially thought that Jacob has lost it), and currently Doody Calls has over 40 franchisees in 23 states.
ID TAG
A company that provides SmartTags for pets that provides a recovery system in case your pet gets lost. Although there are many companies that provide this kind of service which helps in identifying a pet and returning them to its rightful owner, but very few companies make an effort bring creativity into it. Have a look at their fun and cute ID tags and you will know what I mean.

TRIM DOG
Trim Dog is a Wilmington, North Carolina company that aims to provide a product for helping dogs living a healthier and merrier life. A product that was launched in October 2010 and described as "Helping your dog stay fir and healthy."
According to Ike Kinlaw, developer and founder of Trim Dog, "The Trim Dog Weight Loss System is the viable solution for dog weight loss that society currently needs." He is an Exercise Physiologist, who used his expertise of helping people lose weight into his very own business venture for dogs who need weight loss in order to stay healthy. "When my dog, Lily, was diagnosed as overweight; it was only natural that I adapted the same weight loss principles to benefit dogs. Failure is not an option when your best friend's life in on the line." he says.
