The elements of a graphic design are the building blocks to a pleasant and successful design. If all the elements are chosen and placed wisely, the design can be very appealing and forces the viewer to go over it again and again. One of the sensitive elements of a design is 'Font'. But sometimes, the restricted availability of fonts in our systems can be a big put off and might even limit our creativity.
While searching for a dead simple way to download and install fonts in my system, I came across this amazing service called AllMyFonts. It has a collection of 128,606 true type fonts and claims to be fully compatible with all the operating systems available. It offers an intelligent preview system which lets you preview the text in the selected font before you actually download and imply to it. Below each font, there is a box where you type anything and you can see how it looks. The author has also provided the details of the fonts like family and sub-family to which the fonts belong. The fonts can be downloaded free, without any effort and gets easily installed in your system. The best part is it bypasses the ridiculous registration system to download the fonts.
The categorization of the fonts make it even easier to have access and choose the fonts you like. However, some fonts are yet to be categorized. “AllMyFonts.com is a personal project and is the result of a very hard work on the site's code. All the fonts available here at AllMyFonts are fonts collected over many, many years and downloaded from internet or found in CDs and/or DVDs from magazines and clipart's collections I purchased a long time ago. There is a LOT of commercial/ prated fonts in there. For sure mine have never been purchased with "master resell rights". Not a good resource if you're planning on any legitimate use.
