Now thats a conversation starter...an organic necklace with a plant around your neck.
These wearable planters by Colleen Jordan, a designer from Atlanta, are one of the most creative jewelries I've come across. "I strive to design to make the designed environment more intuitive and beautiful so we can focus on the life happening around us." she says.
She created this design using a 3D printer, the product comprises of ABS plastic with a thick leather string. "Why should your plants stay at home? Carry a sprout, a succulent, or a flower you found in the morning walk." she shares.
She came with this idea when she was a quest to prove that "you can make something that defies the expectations a material carries".
Wearable plants are priced at $55 in her Etsy shop and Colleen makes them individually per order.
You can also visit her website, where you can learn about some more projects by her, like, 'Material Perception', 'Ignite Lamp', 'What Does a Doctor Do', 'Photography', 'Bite Me' and 'Share the Road'.
