Frank Plant, an American artist in Barcelona creates these unique sculptures that are welded out of steel. After studying sculpture at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia he decided to move to Amsterdam to begin working on his favorite form of art 'drawings in steel'.
"Welded steel has always been the principle medium for Plant's work, whether in his two dimensional pieces such as his fingerprints series or his earlier three dimensional kinetic metal sculptures, that incorporate found objects." describes his website.
"Photography and painted wooden backgrounds, light boxes, motors, sensors, sound and music have all become integral parts of his sculptures." they further add.
