Now here's a vintage solution for having a keyboard for your iPad.

If you are a vintage fan who is looking to relive those god old days of Typewriters and that clickity- clack noise, then this is a perfect example of before meeting after.

Jack Zylkin, the inventor behind this product describes it as "groundbreaking innovation in the field of obsolescence." USB Typewriter is indeed a fascinating innovation that can connect to your PC, Mac or iPad and lets you experience nostalgia.

Priced between whopping $500 to $700 this new age typewriter "works with all letters, numerals and punctuation marks. It also includes shift, space, and return carriage (which is literally activated by the typewriter's return carriage!). Many non-standard keys, such as F1-F12, esc, ctrl and so on are available with a special toggle key." explains Jack. But there is a major drawback in this "groundbreaking" innovation, typing on it is incredibly and irritatingly slow.

If you own a typewriter yourself, then you have the option of buying USB Typewriter D.I.Y. Kit that can easily convert your antique typewriter in to a keyboard. The kit consists of PCBs and all those electronic parts that you need to create a hybrid version for a typewriter and enjoy the experience of creating this innovation yourself. The kit costs $75. Alternatively, you can even send your typewriter to Jack and let an expert handle the job for you.
