Twitter Inc. plans to launch its latest advertising product called 'Promoted Accounts' which will be revealed in an ad industry conference in New York.

Companies who are interested in marketing themselves through Twitter can use this latest service to increase their following. Twitter will display their names in the 'Who To Follow' section and these suggestions will surely help in bagging a lot of followers and therefore hugely help in promoting themselves through the largest micro-blogging site.

Considering company's success in the latest 'promoted tweets' project where advertisers are spending more than $100,000 on ads, this project is quiet a predictable one.

"And Twitter will try to make the promotions palatable to users by serving up only "relevant" accounts, using same algorithm that it already uses when it suggests Who To Follow" reports All Things Digital. Which means that suggestions or recommendations will be provided to users based in their taste and trends; relevance is the key here.

"Exposure to Twitter users who are following sports-related accounts will be available for purchase by sports-related brands in Twitter, for example" Read Write Web explains.
