
Paper.li is an application for Twitter that organizes feeds, groups, lists, tweets, keywords and presents them like a newspaper.
Due to vast array of information within 140 character usage micro-blogging site it is becoming increasingly difficult to grasp 'important' feeds or updates that is useful for 'you' or for people with similar interests as you. Therefore, this virtual newspaper is a great tool for keeping yourself and others up to date through one page on daily basis.
It collaborates various links on Twitter based on usernames, hashtags or lists chosen by you and organizes them in a newspaper format. Like any traditional newspaper, the news gets updated every 24 hours, therefore you can begin your Twitter day with this newspaper and view important information streamlined by you; for the remaining of the day you can use Twitter like you always do.
How Does It Work?
- Go to paper.li and click on 'Create your own daily paper' button.
- Sign in with your Twitter account using oAuth.
- Create your newspaper by clicking on 'create a newspaper' based on Username, Hashtag and Twitter list.
- Username: Feeds will appear using links shared by the selected username and those followed by that user.
- Hashtag: Feeds will appear associated with the selected hashtag. (eg. #ecommerce, #blogging etc.)
- Lists: You can also receive feeds based on various Twitter lists that have been created from Twitter and not third part applications.
- And voila, your newspaper is ready and will be updated for you every 24 hours. You will be amazed with the relevance of feeds being provided to you supported with images and videos.
Your newspaper can be followed by audiences who share your interests and similarly you too can get alerts for your favorite newspaper created by others. One can promote newspapers through a 'promote' link provided in the navigation bar of each newspaper.
