Not too long ago The U.S. Library of Congress archived all public Tweets for preservation and research purpose, this time its YouTube's turn to display some the best videos from all over the world in Guggenheim museum.

YouTube has recently collaborated with Guggenheim Museums to conduct a contest called "YouTube Play: A Biennial of Creative Video".

As per this project, YouTube is inviting participants from all over the world to submit their creative videos including animation, motion graphics, narrative, non-narrative, documentaries, music videos and any other art form; the deadline for last submission is 31st July'10. Thereafter, around 20 best videos will be selected and presented in Guggenheim Museum in New York on 21st October, along with museums in Bilbao, Venice and Berlin.

"This presentation, we hope, will garner some of the finest creative work from every corner of the globe—not only to showcase it on one of the biggest stages online, but also in one of the most iconic artistic venues in the world" announced Ed Sanders on YouTube's blog.

Those who wish to participate in the contest must be atleast 18 years of age and the video must not exceed 10 mins in length. Also along with the video one has to submit a written statement explaining the intention behind the video and techniques used for its creation, the statement must not exceed 1000 words.

"YouTube is fascinating to us because it represents a demographic quite beyond our means – that's very attractive." says Nancy Spector, chief curator of Guggenheim Museum and a Jury member of the contest.

So you think you can take up the challenge and grab the opportunity to be presented in one of the most prestigious art gallery in the world. If yes, then open the floodgates of creativity and submit your video here.
