The web world was caught off the winds by Canonical's (parent company) announcement to launch a Ubuntu phone OS by 2014.
When I browsed to see how the industry analysts' were poised on this bit of news, it was honestly quite baffling to see a hardline negative response mostly. Many of us, including the E-junkie.info team are ardent Linux-Ubuntu followers.
Well its understandable that the news is a little surprising since the mobile space is a very competitive arena with Apple and Google playing the "OS war" annually. Ubuntu isn't going to do anything revolutionary mind you. But to snub it out even before its launch and performance is setting the bar too high.
