Over the past few days, I've had a lot of fun compiling those end-of-the-year articles, where we've covered, lists of all lists in 2011, most popular e-scientists' finds, most innovative products of 2011, and top trends revealed by Facebook, Twitter & Google.

But I must say that it took me the longest creating this particular list, not because it was difficult or time consuming. Only because these amazing artists and their art has the power to consume you. I got so engrossed in browsing through their art and their interviews that I almost forgot about this post.

As a blogger I love the month of December, a time when we read and share articles featuring top trends, topics, photos, videos and stories of the past 11 months.  Few days back we shared top articles shared on Facebook in 2011, and of course we couldn't ignore the most active micro-blogging site: Twitter.

Like every year, Twitter rolls out Year In Review, which includes hot topics of the year, top stories, most popular hashtags and people on Twitter. For example, the most notable story on Twitter has been the historical democracy movement in Egypt.

Charlie Sheen stirred another kind of movement when he joined Twitter in March, becoming the most talked about actors of 2011. Strangely the most talked about movie was Thor, and what's more strange is that Harry Potter didn't even make it to top 5 movies. Like every year, Apple topped technology trends, with Mac App store at number one; iPad and iPhone are at number 6 and 7 respectively.
