What do you see in the adjacent picture? An insect and a flower, right? Look carefully and you will find out that these are not simply drawn. The outlines are all English alphabets. Read them carefully. They are the names of each part of the object included in the drawings. Each part is named within the drawing itself. Wish that you had this type of drawings in your biological classes? If you were Aaron Keuhn, you could make them yourself.

"AARON KUEHN is an American graphic artist, printmaker, and designer/fabricator. His recent work includes the Bicycle Typogram and Skeleton Typogram - complex systems depicted entirely typographically using only the names of their parts.

Aaron synthesizes traditional graphic art, technical drawing, and specialized typefaces of his own design to articulate these at-a-glance comprehensive visualizations. Modulating written words with contextually meaningful meta-data, Aaron heals the phonetic-ideographic language fracture which divides human cognition. Linguistic scholars propose that increased comprehension bandwidths possible with this visual-verbal language will lead to a new era of communal intelligence and multi-dimensional thought."

Others generally write words and draw pictures, but this artist draws with words. Imagine how easy it would be to learn the name of all the parts of such things. Using typography to draw is really a unique idea. Scroll down to see the amazing wordy drawings.
