Imagine you are at your favorite restaurant, waiting for the waiter to come your way so that you can place the order but it seems like you are invisible for him because it's been 15 minutes and he hasn't noticed you yet. Mood spoiling, right? Let me give you another situation, you are done eating and have asked the waiter to get the check but it's been 20 minutes and waiter hasn't showed up yet; best thing you are getting late to be some where else. Nerve wracking, right?
Most of us have been in such situations numerous times but thanks to PayPal, you can soon avoid being in such situations.
PayPal has introduced two new features to it's smartphone app that allows users to order food ahead of actually reaching the restaurant and making payments for their food using the app at the restaurant.
A life saver for people who are in a habit of picking up the breakfast on their way to work. So no more waiting in the queues, instead pre-order your coffee and your favorite morning snack and collect them on your way to work.
According to Rob Harper, Head of Retail Services at PayPal UK, "The smartphone has changed our lives, and we wanted to use it to solve some of the most common frustrations about traditional ways to pay on the high street. Our new Order Ahead and Pay at Table services save busy people valuable time. Why wait for the bill when you can pay at the table with your smartphone? And why wait in a restaurant for your takeaway when you can skip the queue by choosing and ordering ahead on your phone?"
You can use the app in over 2,000 high street shops and restaurants like the Japanese food chain Wagamama, burger chain GBK and Italian restaurant Prezzo, and retailers like Oasis, Coast, JD Sports, Blacks and Snow & Rock.

These new features would definitely save customers time and will also make splitting bills among friends easy. "Customers save time by not having to wait for the waiter/waitress to bring the bill and get a card machine to take payment."
PayPal also announced that it will extend its 'Pay by picture' service, that shows restaurants a picture of users of the app who are in their shops, making it easy for the shop owners to identify the customers.Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
