Some of us like waking up to the irritating alarm tone and then there are some of us who like waking up to something soothing like the chirping of the birds, your favorite song or something more pleasant. It really matters what we wake up to because believe it or not it really sets the mood for the entire day. But did you ever think that what puts us into sleep also really matters, one way or another it sets our sleeping pattern. Nowadays, no one realizes that how important it is to have a regular sleep routine and often overlook it.
Meet Alarming Clock by the Alarming Industries that has been specially designed to improve our sleep and waking experiences by introducing a wind down routine.
The Alarming Clock is the world's first handcrafted wooden dual alarm clock; one that goes off in the morning and the other that goes off in the evening.
The morning alarm is just like a regular morning alarm clock that wakes you up in the morning. The evening alarm tells the users when to start winding up their work so that they are relaxed enough to enjoy a full eight hours of sleep. "This helps your brain to be less active meaning you are ready for sleep and not continuing to process information."
Natalie, a design student, was inspired to start working on the Alarm Clock when she suffered from severe sleep deprivation after being jet lagged and dealing with an unexpected death in the family. So in order to find a solution to her problem, Natalie designed the Alarming Clock as her final year project in 2010.
Talking about Alarming Industries, it is based in London and was founded in 2012 by Natalie Duckett and Lee Murray, product design graduates from The University of Dundee, Scotland. The company specializes in designing and manufacturing especially designed handcrafted everyday household objects.
Currently, the Alarming Clock is being crowdfunded on Kickstrarter. The money raised from this campaign would be used to manufacture the first production run of the Alarming Clock, buy parts and raw materials and fund testing to allow the clock to be sold in countries outside Europe.
According to Natalie this Kickstarter campaign will help Alarming Industries grow, "The Alarming Clock has been in development for a long time and we have been crafting it to ensure the highest quality and usability. Now we need your help. Launching on Kickstarter, we hope to get backing that will enable us to produce more Alarming Clocks and expand our reach beyond Europe where we already have the CE certification mark. It's also a great opportunity to showcase the product to the world, we hope you like it!"
If you like these clocks make sure to help Alarming Industries reach their pledged goal before 17th April, 2014.

All that you have to do is set your alarm to when you want to wake up this will automatically set your evening alarm. For example - if you set your morning alarm for 7 am, the Alarming Clock will automatically set your evening alarm to 10 pm, notifying you when to wind up your day's work.
Having done that, now you have to set the sound to want to wake up to. The alarm signal has been inspired by the sound of a woodpecker drumming against a tree. The alarm signal is created by a mechanical 'beak' that produces a sound very similar to the sound of a woodpecker drumming against a tree. The sound can be customized by placing the 'beak' against different objects, making the sound unique to the user.
Another unique thing about this alarm clock is that its clock face is hidden underside of the clock to prevent the users from seeing the clock, a pain point for many individuals struggling to get a restful night's sleep.
