If you are one of those 'don't keep a dog and bark yourself' kind of people then outsourcing almost everything is a philosophy and way of working that is going to be right up your street.

Even a virtual assistant doesn't work for free but it is still a cheaper option than employing someone to sit in your office and at least they don't phone in sick or take time off for vacations.

Outsourcing can be used for so many tasks and applications that extend beyond just using services to get your business done so that you have more free time to spend some of the money you might be saving.

The philosophy that many small business operators, or solopreneurs as some like to call themselves, like to work on is that if they spend more time working on their business rather than in it then they create the potential to generate more revenue of even free up more measure time if that is what they are after.

Outsourcing can free up your mind as well as your time and the great thing about it is you always get the chance to change your mind if some things don't work out, so you can delegate, test drive it and simply rollback if it doesn't feel right.

You can even automate some of your outsourcing needs. Take the amount of time spent on email every day, which is apparently about 2.5 hours for most of us. Think what you could do with that spare time if you set up a simple priority rules filter to blow out all the time-wasting emails before they get a chance to clog up your inbox.
