A Lativian turned California fashion photography talent - Vikorija Pashuta is a name who's fast making a space for herself amidst the fashion aficionados of Southern California.
Her celeb client list includes both Hollywood and Bollywood names such as Kelly Price, Bella Thorne, Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer, Mallika Sherawat, Gulshan Grover. With a degree in Marketing from Oxford, this award winning photographer has a truly versatile bend of mind. Be it fashion film direction, writing or producing, she has excelled in each genre.
In her blog, she shares some opening thoughts about her pet project What If Girls Were Internet Browsers. "I wanted to do for a long time and never had a chance to put the right team together. It required a lot of pre production and preparation since every Internet Browser had to have very specific elements, colors, features." A prime theme of this project has been to bridge the perceptions about popular Internet browsers with that of the fashion industry be it in terms of clothes accessories or the postures.
To make the project visually dynamic, Vikorija chose models Kaylen Dao, Brittany Ryan, Clancy McClain, Tracy Acholonu and Polina Frantsena to reflect the personification of each of these browsers, taking cue from a friend who commented "Internet Explorer is all flashy, Firefox is sexy, Opera is elegant, Chrome is utilitarian, and Safari is trendy/hip."
Photography is an art largely based on perceiving things that are unseen by the common eye. That is what makes projects special or simply plain. By drawing a innate parallel between the Internet and fashion worlds, Vikorija has given a real meaning to her project.
Come, let's check out how she has perceived our popular Web browsers.
