I know spring cleaning is long past. But it is an almost monthly ritual to clean up some nook and corner of my cupboard. A committed cleanliness freak. As religiously as I decide to discard clothes but there is always a sentimental construct I can easily invent to keep T-shirts as keepsakes. End of story - Status quo remains and you simply have to make new space for new things that come by.

As weird as it sounds, many of us are compulsive keepers, be it clothes, books, jewelry, anything old... its is after all some sacred part of your life.

Of all these things, T-shirts are something that are an ageless commodity in the wardrobe. For one it is a unisex wear, adaptable for both semi-formal and casual occasions, a drought commodity for those odd days when nothing in the wardrobe really appeals.

Today we have for you some absolutely delicious DIY tips to keep that T-shirts you love so much but may be in forms different than the way they came to you. Change is  always good. So get set to funk it up folks!

1. Wrapped Bracelets :

2. Totes :

With the phasing out of plastic bags and paper bags being one of the eco substitutes, cloth bags are all the rage too. Use your old tees, by mixing up colors and patterns, printing them with designs or cutting them out in shapes and sizes of your size, to make stylish all purpose bags. 3. Scarves :

Scarves, like t-shirts are a very unisex accessory. Wear it over a T-shirt as a kaftan, match it up with a sweater, do a "Audrey Hepburn" headgear or simply bow-tie it on your handbag, its a stylish add-on. All one needs is a simple sewing machine at home and t-shirts. You can create monochrome patters, mix and match patterns or make an ultimate tribute piece as a gift for someone you want. 4. Headbands and Belts With Knots :

These are the ultimate "cute" somethings on young girls. If you are a mom reading this, this is something you would want to be doing for your little girl. 5. Rugs :

I absolutely love this item on the list. Its something of a basic in any house. Watching this demo by Xoelle got me all excited about how simply one can DIY and make the rug  look like a designer show piece. It's certainly a work of patience and labor that gets you awesome display piece. So if you are one for creativity, this is thing to try your hands on.


6. Neckpiece :

Who could imagine making a necklace using a t-shirt. That's so possible now. Neckpieces are no longer about gem studded ornaments nor about too complicated gold/silver carvings, it's  all about defining your fashion quotient. 7. No-Sew Vests :

This is probably the simplest to make and amateurs like me just love to go crazy with scissors. A great way to get a stylish casual look in summers and autumn, all you need to know is a few stylish cuts and imagination to get going. Here is a simple no-sew vest by Wobisobi.


8. Skirts :

Don't let the imagination run wild. In a world that's going upside down, Tees do make way for stylish skirts. In this interesting initiative started by Out Of Order, a recycle effort, a complete t-shirt including the sleeves and pockets get transformed into a button down skirt.


9. Tablemats :

Another staple in every home, table mats are something we don't we bother noticing much.  Just take an opportunity to embellish your delicious food on the dining table with a funky placemat that you designed yourself. 10. Tee Yarn :
