As the Duchess of Cambridge delivered the royal heir this week, the world stands to cash on it too. Call it a typical Shylock-like thrifty move, but that's how businesses work. And when it comes to The Royal Family, the common public is always ready to draw a strange connection to the monarchy in ways that are surely quirky.

While the papparazzi inundated the London sidewalks to capture the Royal couple during their glitzy wedding back in 2011, the same act continues now that the Prince has been delivered safe and sound.

According to the data assertions by the Centre for Retail Research in UK, "Consumer spending on baby-inspired festivities and sales of royal-themed paraphernalia is expected to come in at $386 million. By comparison, UK retailers raked in some $795 million during the Royal wedding celebrations".

The notorious online gaming site Ladbrokes is said to have taken in 50,000 bets on the name of the Prince. Politics and economy aside, even the 41-gun shots at the Tower of London was a rejoicing gimmick for the English crowds who cherish the centuries old monarchy with pride unbound. In a nutshell, The Royals are live-wire sales in perpetuity.

Including the media industry, print-n-publishing businesses, the retailing community has the most to gain out of the situation by rolling out exclusive Royal-heir merchandise this Season. In fact, just to take a memory trip, royal-themed weddings became all the rage in the U.S following Prince William and Kate Middleton's nuptials.  Given the gala moment this time around, businesses across the Ocean, are likely to benefit from marketing royal themed products.
