In one of our previous posts we spoke of the potentialities of apps for the Google Glass. Facebook's CEO had shown keen intent to develop apps for the project. Twitter too is not far behind.

As Tech Crunch's reporter- Drew Olanoff shared his Disrupt Hacktathon experience with readers, the interesting find of the day was GlassTweet. As the name rightly suggests, it is Twitter's app for Google Glass.

Built by Twilio's developer evangelist - Jonathan Gottfried, the app allows the wearer to share images onto their Twitter account. Gottfried shares his views "It’s a great platform and being able to create all of the fundamental apps for people is a tremendous opportunity."

Although Twitter has not made any official announcement about the app's launch, Jonathan was seen tweeting on his account about his handiwork.

It is touted to be a better experience than the monotonous Google+ tagging system.

GlassTweet is still a tester app and not too neatly finished yet. However, once it is installed on the Glass and you are logged into your Twitter account, the wearer gets a new contact that allows you to share images as tweets easily. As of now, videos cannot be shared like the photos. However the developer team promises this addition soon enough.

Since the Google Glass user experiences have been limited, how further apps unfold is an interesting proposition to anticipate. As of now the buzz and latest tidbits popping from early testers makes the Glass seem a worthwhile deal.

Google glass is an interesting concept but is it that useful? I'd still prefer a tablet over Google glass. Still... an interesting concept. :)

Google Glass is certainly a very interesting concept and has the potential to revolutionize the concept of wearable devices.
