For a website owner, one of the most fundamental requirements is good quality images. There are many who prefer to put up images that they've captured or created themselves, some prefer to buy images, and there are some who would prefer to find free stock images.

The beauty of the Internet is that a lot of things around here are for free; without compromising on quality.

A little while ago, we'd shared 15 websites that bring you quality images for free, but it's been a while since then and we've found some more websites that bring you a huge database of images that you can download for free.

Stock Vault





























With 33,000 free images, this website lets you download images without registration. What I loved the most about this site is that not only does it have a very active blog but also shares Photoshop, Dreamweaver and CSS tutorials. If you are a photographer, designer or someone loves photography, you will find their community of creatives to be quite interesting.

RGB Stock

























This website brings you more than 75,000 high resolution images for free, although you will have to register yourself. But then they have such variety of good quality images, that it does really hurt to put in your email id and choose a password. You can also create a 'Lightbox', that acts as your personal photo gallery on  RGB Stock; it also opens doors to an incredible community of photographers.

Dreamstime


































Now this website has a huge database of stock images that you can download for free, with more than 15,000,000 options this is perhaps one of the largest collection of free stock images. To be able to download these images, you will have to first register yourself. It's quite easy to find images out here, because they've categorized them brilliantly.

And if that's not enough free stock images for you, Dreamstime has an entire site dedicated to high quality free images over at StockFreeImages.com!

Pixel Perfect Digital



























Using Creative Commons licensing, that lets you alter the image in anyway you want as long as you credit the original creation, this website brings you free stock images, backgrounds and textures. As per Creative Commons Attribution license, you can use these images commercially as well. You can browse through their gallery where images have been categorized to make your search easier.

Morgue File































This is another popular website for finding free quality images, and some very interesting tutorials from their 'Classroom' section. You need not register with the website, but they do ask you to credit the images when possible. What I love the most about this site is the collection of images; they have some really beautiful images for you to download.
