Recycled products has always been E-junkie.info's weakness, we can't help and appreciate creative ways of recycling the oddest of materials. Materials that transform into one-of-a-kind products.

Michole Madden from Seattle, Washington is one such artist who creates unique clocks made out of motorcycle or bicycle parts and interesting finds from thrift stores.

So where did she get the inspiration for reCycle Clocks?

Madden is an adventure enthusiast who loves road trips and backpacking, she has traveled to over 20 countries. And evidently, motorcycles is one of her passions.

"Always a lover of cool metal stuff, I've decorated my house with rusted wrenches and vintage hubcaps. So when my partner brought me an old motorcycle rotor from his friend's shop, I saw right away that it would make a cool clock." shares Madden.

Madden first drives around to find those prefect pieces to recycle, she reaches out to motorcycle shops and mechanics to get her hand on stuff that she thinks she could use. "Then I hit a huge circuit of thrift stores looking for just the right backings to use." she says.

Once satisfied with the material, she goes on a cleaning spree, and spends couple of days soaking, cleaning and polishing those parts. Rest of the process is can best be explained by Madden herself:

"Then the fun of visualizing begins. I try lots of different combinations until the right parts meet each other....next comes the drilling, filing, bolting and wrenching.
Finally, I select just the right clock hands to add the finishing touch and a battery to bring it to life."
Here are some of my favorite creations by her:

They say clockwerks are boring but this is extraordinary.
Designing a clock with almost no materials and looking at scraps are really amazing.
