Finally, the wait is over and business page owners on Google Plus can assign managers. It works pretty much like Facebook pages, except for one tiny difference. On Facebook, every admin has equal rights, whereas Google Plus believes in two types of admins: owners and managers.
Each page can have up to 50 managers, but just one owner. Here's how Google explains it:
"Let’s say you create a Google+ page for your pizza parlor. Since your pizza parlor has become particularly popular thanks to your pepperoni pizza pies, keeping up with all your page activity has become tricky. So you decide to add some of your most trusted employees as managers of your page. Now that you're able to respond to your page's traffic, the only thing you'll need to worry about is making enough pepperoni pizza pies to keep up with the passionate demand."
There are only two exclusive rights that managers don't have access to:
- Delete page
- Transfer ownership
Here's what a manager can do:
- Invite more managers
- Remove other managers
- View manager roster
- View and edit page settings
- Post content
- Edit 'Circles'
- Other actions on behalf of the page
So if you are a page owner on Google Plus then head over to your page and add managers to share the load. Do share your views or feedback on Google Plus. Do you really think it is helping your business?
