Susan Stockwell, a British artist who likes to create large scale installations, sculptures or collages has recently created a world map made from recycled computer components for the University of Bedfordshire.

"Accumulation, transformation, detritus, debris, everyday materials are all recurrent themes in Stockwell's work. Meticulously hand crafted, the benign sublime beauty in the work belies the devastating effects of our culture and our role in shaping it." is how Curator Grace Chung descibes her work.     This only goes to show that we can do so much with items like that of recycled materials or used papers that have undergone shredding Austin (as an example). Thank for sharing these photos and may they serve as positive examples to others.

    What is 'trash' to some can still be of great use to others. With the given sample above, this inspires us to do our part and encourage others to join the 'green' bandwagon and stop being wasteful.
