Creating mosaics with cereals may sound easy but actually it requires a great amount of hard work and lots & lots of patience. Ryan Alexiev is that hard working and talented American artist who has created a series of cereal portraits called 'The Land of a Million Cereals'. Using such a tiny material to create huge works of Art is a big achievement in itself.
In 2007, Ryan received his MFA from the California College of the Arts; prior to which he was a designer and art director. Though he has worked on some great projects but I particularly liked his 'cereal portraits'. They are colorful, beautiful and truly artistic.
"Cereal is America’s number one breakfast choice and the third most popular product in supermarkets, so it makes sense why Alexiev chose it as a medium to examine the ideology of American consumerism, through his art."
