A duo who are still not ready to accept themselves as artists, but looking at their projects they seem to have soul of an artist.

Lars Marcus and Theo are originally product/interaction designers, but very often they come up with fascinating projects like their 'Big Money Project'. A project in which they made a really big coin, so that other things look relatively small when photographed next to it. I somehow find that poetic!

We don't think ourselves as artists, as we come from a product/interaction design background. What we see ourselves as is a studio that does what it very well pleases, experimenting with products and electronics and the like, not necessarily being tied to a client. That said, it's not like we don't want clients, we would love to do explorative work for money." they say.

Another project that caught my eye was their 'Solitaire Win' project. Remember that graphic after winning a solitaire game with all the cards kinda floating towards you...10 years ago I used to find that pretty cool. Lars and Theo have reconstructed that 'Win' screen using over 1000 3D cards.

SOLITAIRE WIN
"Because we love the game, watching all the cards hop around. Hop hop hop. It's the type of idea you would like. 'It sounds fun, but that's ALOTTA work'."

CREMATION PORTRAIT
"A friend of ours had lost his Gordon Setter cremated when she passed away. She was called Susie. Instead of burying her the urn with Susie's remains, we decided to create a memorial item: a portrait printed with her ashes."
