I often wonder what art is and what it requires to be a great artist. I think passion is just another name for art. If you have a passion for art, your work will definitely be noticed, sooner or later. Passion can take you to new heights and it will teach you everything provided you have a will to do that.
Maurice Bennett is one such artist who is very inspiring. Not just because of his incredible artistic skills but also how he overcame all barriers and found his true passion that lies in 'Arts.'
Maurice Bennett is a New Zealand based artist populary known as 'Toastman' who creates astounding portraits and abstract works using Toasts. He cuts shapes from the slices of toast and create three-dimensional images.
"Maurice has been constantly developing his own artistic style and has experimented with painting, sculpture, insulation work and now ‘toast’. Displays of toast portraits of the Mona Lisa, New Zealand’s Prime Minster, John Keys, and rugby great Jonah Lomu have created a stir in local and international arenas", describes his website.
