Dave and Dave are two childhood buddies who became partners to create magical beans called 'Joulies'.

Joulies are beans made from stainless steel, consisting of mysterious material that keeps your coffee at the right temperature for hours. Joulies not only keeps your coffee hot, but also cools down your extra hot cup of coffee (or tea). Once you dip one of these beans in your hot coffee, it absorbs extra thermal energy and brings the temperature down to make it drinkable instantly. And once the right temperature is achieved, it then releases this stored energy back to your coffee to keep it at the right temperature for hours.

Dave Petrillo and Dave Jackson, grew up together as neighbors and moved on to become engineers. They continued to work on projects together, and this friendship combined with entrepreneurship resulted in a product that earned more than $300,000 through a Kickstarter campaign.

They started of with the goal to earn $9500 from Kickstarter enabling them to start the production of these mysterious beans, but people loved their idea so much that they end up earning much much more than they'd imagined.

"We had a website up and a few prototypes for sale before we did our Kickstarter page. We were selling them to friends and family, but it was very slow. One thing that Kickstarter did was force us to make a really simplified message about what Joulies are and what they do. Spending the money on making a nice video was extremely important. Not sure if we would have done that if it weren't for Kickstarter." shares Dave Petrillo in an interview. Dave and Dave received 8000 pre-orders from this campaign, and are currently working at their factory in New York to get their business up and running.
