I can't believe that I missed out on these charming light fixtures in my latest post about 18 beautiful examples of uniquely recycled lamps. Only if I would've found these earlier, they would've been on the top of my list.
Created by Tanya Clarke, these retro lamps and chandeliers are made out of recycled plumbing hardware, LED lights and hand sculpted glass drops. "Liquid Lights are custom built, industrial designed light installations that experiment with fusion of art, function and environmental consciousness." describes her website.
A perfect catalyst for interesting conversations, these retro light installations, aim to highlight the most important commodity in our lives: water, and also convey a message to protect and conserve this natural resource.
Tanya grew up in Ottawa, Canada and is the daughter of a well known political and environmental activist, Tony Clarke. Her father's ideologies and beliefs clearly reflect on Tanya's efforts towards zero footprint movement through her Liquid Lights. Currently living in California, Tanya enjoys living next to the beach and collecting things that interest her. According to her website, "Liquid Light is an expression of her present environment and upbringing."

How fascinating. And they are just from North York plumbing supplies? I like them - that could go along with a really cool restaurant theme.
