How about if you could just paint directly to the screen of your Apple iPad? Photoshop's use in now not restricted only to retouch photos but also it is a tool to create wonderful artworks. Along with releasing the Adobe Creative Suit 5.5 Update, Adobe has recently released new iPad apps called Adobe Eazel, Adobe Nav and Adobe Color Lava. All these three apps are companions and go hand-in-hand with Photoshop CS5. The iPad apps work with Photoshop for PCs and Macs and are available in the app store. Let's learn a bit about each of them:

Adobe Eazel ($4.99)

As they say, 'your iPad is the canvas, your fingertip is the brush, and your blends of "wet" and "dry" paint are simply stunning'. Well, each word in this line is absolutely a perfect description of the app Adobe Eazel. With this interactive app, you can use your iPad's screen to paint onto with your fingertips or any stylus. If you place all your five fingers on the iPad's interface, it will bring up menu that facilitates changing the color, opacity or brush size. Not only that, the app has many other interesting features. On of the coolest is 'brush realism'. When you apply the paint, it is wet for few seconds and then dries up. In the mean time, if you cross it with another color stroke, it will give you an amazing blend effect. It offers a new kind of interaction between 'wet' and 'dry' paint.

Once you're done with painting, you can send you paintings directly to Photoshop CS5 for higher resolutions. Of course you can save them and e-mail them to your friends.(Link)

Adobe Nav ($1.99)

Adobe Nav allows you to activate Photoshop tools and browse open Photoshop documens. For customizing the Photoshop CS5 toolbar on your iPad, to access the tools you mostly use, you need to have a network connection between your iPad and computer. The toolbar can have 16 tools, bigger and beautiful. You can browse, reorder, view and zoom in up to 200 open documents on your iPad screen and your document will appear in CS5 with a single tap.(Link)

Adobe Color Lava ($2.99)

With Adobe Color Lava, you can mix and match colors on the iPad and create truly unique swatches and five swatch color themes with your fingertips. You may make fine adjustments using hue sliders. You can also save them and import them into Photoshop later.(Link)

Well, we can expect something better from Adobe but we can give them credit for an interesting concept. I hope Adobe comes up with their improved versions soon. Here's my opinion, but you guys are the ultimate users. Do share your valuable views with us in the comments section below.
