A lava-oozing volcanic setting is probably not the most comfortable of sights for a photographer. But here we have today a maverick photographer whose daredevil act is simply spell-binding.

Teaming along with a group of kayakers- Pedro Oliva, Ben Stookesberry and Chris Korbulic, the Brazil-based photographer Alexandre Socci managed to capture realistic volcanic eruption images. It is no doubt that the intense heat and unstable surface accords the most unhospitable platform to shoot. But they just did it as a active volcano in south-central Hawaii was popping out the molten magma in full force.
