It is a chance thing or have people actually stopped using Yahoo, Hotmail and Rediff like services altogether?

Why, a fancy thought caught me offguard some day that 99% of my friends and acquaintances on the mailing list had Gmail Id's only. Not even alternative mailing addresses pertained to the other service providers. It was a small realization that most of us might find a common sense thing. But taking a very topical view of it, Gmail is the most popular and trusted mailing service globally. Including you and me, we all fall back on Gmail as a the premier communication tool, at both personal and professional levels.

As businesses, we all get tons of mails day-in and day-out from affiliates to clients to the boss and the co-workers. For the most part, the person who reads them tries to gauge the intent of the person sending a mail.

Typos and spelling errors, though avoidable, just happen. It is an irksome human folly yet tolerable. However, when the sender indulges in a mistake that is purposeful, nothing seems more annoying. Isn't it?

This is not to take a moral high-ground. We as bloggers and content creators also fall in the trap too often. But a few common sense mistakes keep rolling back.

Spam!Spam!Spam!

Who wants to see this 4-letter boorish word! Well practically nobody wants to do a digital faux paus.

Most of us have at some point in our lives messed up our mails. Either its a typo, a monologue-like mail or a wrong mail Id that you inserted. Isn't it. Although one can't exactly retrieve back the sent mail once you "did it", it really doesn't leave a very good impression if you are representing a business organization.

Reputations are like sand castles as they say. So what should one do in such a bottleneck situation? How can you avoid being a digital douchebag? What should be the layout of your mails next time? Most important thought-churner is how not to share uneccesary information?
