Not all of us can testify to having an elephant's memory surely. In fact, most of us won't even remember what happened a week back or month past. But memories just got a new lease of life with Facebook's latest roll-out feature - On This Day.

A virtual walkaway into all things interesting that happened to your friends all the way back a year ago, can now be reminisced by all of us on Facebook.

Announced on this week, the feature is in its pilot phase and available to users using the News Feed currently. One can easily find the 'On This Day' option on the right side of the page besides a small widget that informs displaying all the key events in your friends' life in the past one year.

Once the feature is activated on your account, the detailed line up shows a particular friend's profile image and their year-old special activity that day. The pattern of these posts is very similar to the feeds one receives, including comments and links.

This latest feature is but an improvised version of its own old launch , also called as On This Day which was launched in 2011. While the new feature handpicks special moments of your friends, the earlier one showed your own status updates from the past.

However, as a round up note, it doesn't hurt to look back on times spent with your friends or family. In fact it invigorates your senses to hold back one's fast paced life and have a care for your closed ones, even if it is for a small second of your day.
