Now when Google Reader is actually retiring tomorrow and everyone is done exporting all their data and done searching for a newer option for RSS reader, HootSuite's recent announcement is a no-shocker.

Earlier this week, HootSuite launched its own RSS reader called the HootSuite Syndicator designed especially for social media managers.

According to the official blog post by HootSuite, "With Google Reader set to shut down on July 1st, we’ve enhanced HootSuite’s RSS capabilities to not only provide a powerful solution for bringing content into the dash from around the web, but also for managing and curating content through social syndication."

The HootSuite Syndicator can help you:
  • Manage your RSS feeds with the Subscription Manager
  • Customize streams by setting up groups and filters
  • Mark items as read or unread, favorite items and save items to view later
  • View articles and stories within the HootSuite dash
  • Share items to your social networks in HootSuite, even track the stories you’ve shared
All that you have to do is to install the Hootlet Chrome extension to add your RSS feeds streaming directly into your HootSuite dashboard.

HootSuite Syndicator would allow users to easily stream any content from any RSS feed right into their different social networking accounts like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.

Well, the launch of HootSuite Syndicator is perfect but the competition is fierce and in case you're already a HootSuite user, you ought to give it a try.

So import your feeds from Google Reader today and start using HootSuite Syndicator.
