Photos are memories of the people, places and moments that mean the most to us. We have always sought to give you simple and expressive ways to bring the stories behind your photos to life. Your captions and hashtags capture the “what?” and your Photo Map answers the “where?” but until today we have never quite been able to answer the “who?”.

Instagram officially announced on its blog yesterday their- Photos Of You. An absolutely fun way to share your photos of friends, family, any existing account on Instagram or for that matter some beautiful image you want to simply share, can now be tagged easily. This has been a long awaited move that finally happened.

But before you go along tagging people in photos, be sure to upgrade your Android or iPhone to the latest 3.5 version. Following this you can see a "Add People"on the share screen.

Now to tag people all you need to do is crop and filter the picture and simply tap your screen to answer the "Who's this?" question asked of you.Users can also drag the tags to line it up with the person or people in the photo if your initial tap was inaccurate.  You instantly see a search bar at the top of the screen that allows you f the right user. Moreover you can also tag anyone or any brand of your liking on Instagram, additionally.

The latest photo tagging move comes with both pros and cons. While photo tagging obviously brings your closed ones up-to-date with your life's happenings in a easy one-tap way; the flip side of the move is the difficulty that most users faced when you don't know the person's username. Yes! and that's fairly common on Instagram.

Unlike Facebook that demands account holders provide their actual details, Instagram has no such 'strings-attached' rules. This can cause a real-time identity problem; you might end up tagging a total stranger. Moreover, in some cases it also compromises the privacy of a user.

However, the Team at Instagram say "you can easily adjust your settings so nothing appears on your profile until you approve it. Before your Photos of You section is visible to other people, you’ll have until May 16th to play around and get used to the feature."

To remove the tag that you don't like all you have to do is tap your  Instagram handle to reach the Settings window. Select the "Hide from My Profile" to  remove the image from your profile so people visiting your page cannot view the ugly picture. You can also go to the "More Options" button and tap onto the"Remove Me from Photo" that completely removes the tag from the image.
