"Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent"- Victor Hugo

Music in itself is transcendental. And so are office cultures.

Rewind to 20 years back. Can any of us have imagined an employee nodding this head to music as their ears are plugged to skullcandies or earplugs? The answer is obviously an outright no.

At present, corporate culture is not only spearheading in initiating technological change but a co-related improvement in its human resource policy. The offices are no longer static 9 to 5 workspaces.

The paradigm shift focuses on making the work environment conducive for the employees to integrate them closely to decision making process. Small things such as allowing music, use of social media sites during work hours or leisure activities is the least of the changes that can be easily accomodated.

Taking a cue from our own experience, being an E-junkie employee automatically means being a musical junkie too. It certainly keeps us pumped-in all day and we indulge not only in official discussions but also exchange our musical tastes. And to share a little insider scoop, all of us adhere to variety of musical genres. However, we respect each other's tastes with equanimity.

The rule with music also extends to other domains of work here. We function better because we know how to accept differences and respect opinions. We have our differing takes on how to go about certain decisions yet each one gets to wear the "responsibility" crown once in a while and stick by their word till the end. Now that's why we are a proud Small Business.

Now that's a definite positive to look forward to. While Beatles happen to a common favorite with us, here's a select list of music that keeps us pumped up all day long.
