“A man's bookcase will tell you everything you'll ever need to know about him” ― Walter Mosley

Rightly named as "Face Shelving", South Africa- based freelance art designer Alexi McCarthy's work speaks for itself.

After dabbling some erratic graffiti and designs as a child, Alexi seriously pursued his talent in college. He is a Visual Communication major from the AAA School of Advertising. At times the Art Director at Ogilvy Outfitters, sometimes a street artists and this time a furniture designer, Alexi is really a multi-faceted person we believe.

Keeping up with his spirit of trying out new things, Alexi says the "Face Shelving" happened after "a chat with my girlfriend and a father-son project later". He explains the offbeat name of his project as well. "The idea is that depending what you put in or on the shelves, you create different faces and expressions".

No doubt it will be a soothing visual treat for book lovers like me surely, those of you interested in adding a creative touch to your home or office decor, we bring you Alexi McCarthy's "Face Shelving".

Hope many of you will be motivated to adorn your books on Alexi's delightful shelves. You can catch his other creations on his website.
